Twistpad uses the MDI (multiple document interface) concept.
This allows multiple documents to be opened at the same time which can be switched to easily with the switch bar:



Basically MDI allows each document to be a edit window inside the Twistpad window.
You can work with the document windows in the Window menu, allowing cascading, minimize or close all.
